What’s on offer?

Clinical experience in general nephrology, transplantation, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis is complemented by the option of dual accreditation in general medicine or critical care. All posts are approved for training by PMETB and compliant with EWTD and New Deal shift patterns.

With more flexible trainees in renal medicine than any other Deanery, the East Midlands has shown commitment in valuing what makes specialty training work.

Our training days are factored in to the rota so we can nearly always attend the sessions.

Training carousels

Our region is large, reaching from Towcester in the South West to Mablethorpe in the North East, Ramsey in the South East to Chesterfield in the North West. Our training programme is divided into north and south “carousels” meaning that trainees are not forced to move home during their rotation.
